I have to say this first of all..... Mexico is awesome! Considering that everything is in Español but I'll live. Well an update on what I've been doing, the first day was flying on the plane and driving so I am going to skip that, second day we went to Uxmal (oosh - mal), the ruins there were extremely well preserved and restored. I also learned that Chaác is the rain god and watered all the crops and plants.

On the third day we went to Chichén Itzá (chitchen- itsa) or as my mom likes to call it, Chicken Pizza If you didn't know Chichén Itzá a.k.a. Chicken Pizza is one of the Seven Wonder's of the Modern World
.
The best part I thought was the spring equinox because only two times a year spring and winter do you get to see something awesome that I'll explain. During the equinox at Chichén Itzá a snake appears on the stairway. Now it is not a real snake but for the Mayans (those are the Indians in this area) it is really important because that tells them that the rainy season is coming and that it is time to start planting.
While we were there we were being attacked by sellers who wanted to sell us souvenirs, one time we were out of money so this one guy was trying to bargain with us and he said that he would take my sunglasses for it. I said no, then he wanted my dad's shoes, then he wanted my dad's watch, and this and that. It just goes on forever. We ate at a restaurant there and the food was deeeelicious! Halfway through our lunch these people from the restaurant started almost tap dancing and they would balance bottles and pans on their heads while they were dancing. I will put some videos and pictures on somewhere.

Today the 21 we went to Dzibiltalchún (tzib- ill- tall- chewn) and saw the spring equinox sunrise there. This equinox has the same rules for Chicken Pizza's and was pretty simple, all it was was basically having the sun shine through a doorway at the temple.
Other than that there wasn't much to see except we found a piece of pottery in a Mayan building.

You did a great job on your post, Tyler!
We can't wait to see the pictures of the other places you are visiting.
It was fun to have you in our apartment, to travel with you and to tease you and tickle you.

That would be a little confusing if everything was in Spanish!
